Well, our little girl is 6. Somehow that seems much older than 5, which is still just a baby really.
Part of being 6, it appears, is knowing exactly what your birthdays parties should entail for the next few years. This year was supposed to be a tinkerbell party, which we expanded to a fairy picnic in our (very) local nature reserve.
We all had a fabulous time - Tom and a large number of fairies - eating fairy picnics, seeking out fairies, decorating fairy plant pots, reading fairy stories and the like.
Thank you to Elspeth for doing all the planning and organising, and the Hirst Wood Nature Reserve for letting us roam around.
